AjaxLife is currently down, due to being banned by Linden Lab. I will re-enable it when I have figured out why.

September 9th, 2009 at 9:21 pmI spend a lot of my time in faraway location, with a very poor line and behind lots of firewalls and proxys. Ajaxlife is the only way I can keep in touch with my SL friends, and I would be very upset if this is a “new policy” by LL.

Tell them it doesn’t prevent us to use sl at home. -

September 11th, 2009 at 8:02 pmSad news, as I just popped in to use ajaxlife to catch up with friends without needing the memory/speed overhead a regular client creates. I’ve always been a fan of this project.
I’m a recovering/retired PHP programmer, so if there is something I can do to help, please let me know. I also have access to several *nix and MacOS servers for hardware support, if needed.
Good luck, and keep us posted!

September 11th, 2009 at 8:04 pmoh almost forgot: perhaps there is a way to have LL pass along grief-er account names so that *you* can ban them, instead of banning the client access.
heck, if they can provide a simple XML file of grief-er names, you could have ajaxlife parse it automatically into a ban list.

September 17th, 2009 at 10:29 amI am absolutely appalled that LL has treated you so badly when they should have been helping you so that every resident could have the text-only option it was a lifeline for a friend of mine recently when she was out of town and should be a standard part of the SL offering. LL should be ashamed of themselves. I will look for ambre’s ticket and support it immediately. Best of luck and I hope ajaxlife is back soon.

September 17th, 2009 at 8:55 pmWhat I would like to see is a DSi-Version of AJAXLife.
I’d build a DSi version myself, but I have no true server. I always use a host.

September 20th, 2009 at 4:15 amSo here’s what I see. You have the only viable and operational web interface to SL right now. It’s cool, it works and most importantly (for me anyways) you can use your iphone to get to it. In any other tech business environment, Sl would be taking the Microsoft role to your Hotmail. Why isn’t LL biting your hand off to acquire this? I don’t get i. What I do get is you have a great and cool solution for mobile access to the grid without the heavy demands of the SL viewer. That’s worth something (I suspect it’s worth a lot actually) You’re probably already on this but – if you aren’t – I’d be looking into it if I were you. Get LL to buy it. Just my 2c…

September 24th, 2009 at 8:11 amI received a “ticket resolved” message yesterday – it seems there was a “hardware block” in place, which has now been removed. I hope this means everything is all right again…
