Just saw with absolute horror the problems with signing up for the TG. While I don’t blame ya for wanting to do *something* I suspect that taking Ajaxlife down will not even make a dent on LL.

Perhaps adding something to Ajaxlife asking for votes on the bug you posted (I added mine) might help. With the numbers of people you have using Ajaxlife, a sudden spike in votes on the Jira might wake someone up at LL.

Either way, good luck, keep up the good work, and Thankyou thankyou thankyou for what you’ve done so far.

A "viable product" is probably not quite the right wording - my current balance from running AjaxLife is measured in negative hundreds of US dollar (roughly US$-1000, actually). I'd note that creating their own is not actually that hard - I've given you all a head start. That said, I am being pressured to launch it again. Since nobody actually tried to reclaim their donation (the person who complained never did email me, and since the email address doesn't match anyone who donated, I can't really do anything about it), I may well decide to launch it again at the beginning of next year anyway. (Parental pressure is a significant force >.>)

I salute your attempt to get LL to move and fix the Teen SL area, but in the long run, this may undercut what is a viable product for you, as people will be looking for other options—or in some cases, creating other options.

Punishing those who use Ajaxlife for something stupid LL is doing just seems like shooting the dog for seeing the fox steal chickens from the hen house.

I sincerely hope that the overwhelming majority of your donors do the right thing and don’t request a refund. Your hard work is appreciated by many, and the investment you’ve made in terms of money spent creating something enjoyed by so many should be praised with gratitude.

I am not a regular AjaxLife user, but the few times I used it it helped me out of an emergency when I had to contact someone or deliver an inventory item. I was shocked to hear how much it cost you each month. I have no RL funds available, otherwise I had contributed as well. I don’t think your protest will make LL solve anything, and I doubt shutting AjaxLife down was the right thing to do – but I respect it as the decision you made, and I look forward to the day it gets reopened.
