AjaxLife 0.1.1 release notes

Release 12 Comments

This is the version I put out earlier this morning. Highlights include inventory item giving, the lack of constant rotation, and the beginnings of inventory organisation. Here are the release notes:

  • Non-functioning grids removed from grid list (note that we still crash OSGrid sims on login)
  • iPhone stuff removed for now
  • Overlapping login box problem lessened somewhat
  • Updated ExtJS to 1.1.1
  • Added support for llDialog
  • Added support for llRequestPermissions
  • Fixed region down map overlays – down regions now once again tint red
  • Folded the MapAPI into the libraries, increasing loading consistency
  • Added some debug stuff – try enabling Firebug or Safari’s debug console
  • Notecards and scripts report errors on failed loads instead of loading indefinitely
  • Attempts to reconnect after message queue failure (commonly referred to as AjaxLife “crashing”)
  • Only rotate once after login and teleport – no constant rotation
  • Changed inventory item icons
  • Inventory folders now pick up appropriate icons
  • Minimap no longer shows a green indicator for yourself (only the yellow dot is shown)
  • Allows moving of individual inventory items and folders within your inventory
  • Allows transferring inventory to others via drag/drop into their profile
  • Fixed bug in NameCache that prevented recovery from a friend list of nulls or blanks

Known issues:

  • Inventory sometimes gives every folder a texture icon. This does no harm other than looking odd.
  • Eyes and similar are given clothing icons.

I hope you enjoy the new features! Please file any issues in the issue tracker (requires a Google Account), or just email me. Or leave a sufficiently detailed comment here.

very cool, glad your still working on this!

funny thing, you can add yourself to your friends list… but you can’t… instead it sends you offlines every 2 hours…. forever (or until the linden’s figure out how to answer my support request lol)

Nothing like a good mail rule.

    Can’t you remove the friendship?

But being able to break your account sounds like a significant bug. I should fix that. >.>

hee well what happends is, I never actually get to accept, it never shows me the blue dialog box, it just sends them to my e-mail as offline requests, over… and over… and over… roughly every 2.5 hours.

xD saw the bug report but yeah… prob should disable that to prevent LL from sending more spam.

It’s seems that Second Life is not alowing me to log in from some computers. Does Ajaxlife pass my IP to Second Life?

    It doesn’t, no.

It seems the server was IP banned. Bringing it up at a new IP address to see if it’s a blanket ban or just an error.

Today it is stuck at loading subsystems..
    *starts going through SL withdrawal*

Pleeeeease don’t make me use that horrible Movable Life thing… oh gawd that thing is horrible. It lag echos chat all over the place, and any chat or IM I get is not only just echoed a hundred times, but in EVERY open message window.

Why was my comment removed?? It wasn’t spam o_O

The last two days, AL has been stuck at precache…

I haven’t received any other comments from you recently. I suspect Akismet wiped it.

Try clearing your cache and trying again. Sometimes browsers cache some things and get very confused. Failing that, tell me what the debug console spits out.

Found your comment! It was in the spam bin for some reason. :(

Anyway, try clearing your cache and reloading… there are no issues with Firefox, as far as I know.
