    Very nice Katharine!

I’m not sure what’s going on at the moment. I am apparently logging in, but I never see the “connected” screen…just a white screen with the login stuff at the top rather than the bottom.

That implies it’s timing out again. That’s a horrible bug that I can’t find. >.>

No, it’s not having timeout issues… I have no idea. Try again, from the beginning, after clearing your cache?

That should fix every problem ever. :P

Tried to log in today at 2am, but couldn’t (tried several times). Second Life and moveable life worked fine though.

I’m afraid that’s unhelpful without a timezone. Also, how is it failing? Does it say “Timed out”, hang at “Precaching”, or hang at “Loading subsystems?”

    Or something else entirely?

    Sorry - 2am slt :)
It said timed out after a minute or so.

Is it working now? I know of a problem earlier today, but not as of now… well, other than my web server being DoSed.

Still not working over here in the US-CST Zone today. It seems to be hanging at pre-caching.

Couldn’t access the site or blog yesterday, but tested here today, and I can log in at this moment

HoneyBear, have you tried clearing the cache? If so, check that http://static.ajaxlife.net/AjaxLife.All.js is accessible and loads correctly.

Catten, my server was under a significant abuse yesterday, which gas since been blocked.

    I’m getting an error saying:

    Ajaxlife is undefined.
    Code: 800A1391
    Source: Microsoft JScript runtime error.

Just tried AjaxLife for the first time a little while ago. It crashed Firefox when a friendship offer window popped up. I haven’t been back in to try again yet. Normal viewer login works okay.

The error was: (some IP address) Specified key is not in dictionary.

Personally, I think it was a LL glitch, but I figured I’d give you the crash data. I’m in the US in Wilton, NH

My wife has been doing fine with AL. She was the one who sent me the links.

This is a *very* important piece of software because it lets people do a lot of SL stuff on a computer that hasn’t got the power to run the real viewer. There are a lot of times when I just need to send / answer IMS, clean up inventory, etc. It’s a big help to me if I can do this on my second system while doing real work on the main one.

    Keep up the good work!

How long ago did you try it? I might have fixed the bug since then… although I don’t remember doing so.

Please try it again and tell me if the issue recurs.

    Thanks!

What an incredible application concept. I can’t wait to try it out. This might just solve one of my client’s problems. Thank you for your work on this.

The initial attempt was around 10:00 EDT. I think we’re GMT -5, so that would have been around 15:00 your time.

I just finished a short session that worked fine. I logged in, IM’d my wife, sent her some Linden$, checked a few other features, and logged out. No problems.

I’ll be using AjaxLife now any time I need to do something that doesn’t require actually being in the 3-D world. If I run into any other issues, I’ll let you know. I have no real experience with Ajax, but I have done a lot of software testing. I’ll at least be able to send coherent error data. :-)
Oh, BTW… I do agree that “A Better SecondLife” would be a great title for the blog if that’s what the blog is basically about.
